1. INTRODUCTION:
1.1 Winners Royal Varsha Credit Cooperative Society Limited, as a responsible organization, is committed to making a positive impact on society and communities.
1.2 The Society recognizes that as a financial institution it has a responsibility towards its members, employees, shareholders, and society at large.
1.3 The Society aims to make a positive impact through its various initiatives towards sustainable development and social responsibility.
2. OBJECTIVE:
2.1.The objective of this policy is to outline the Society’s commitment to cooperation and CSR and to provide guidelines for undertaking various initiatives for sustainable development and social responsibility.
3. POLICY:
Cooperation
3.1.The Society shall strive to promote the cooperative movement and values amongst its members and the community.
3.2.The Society shall encourage members to participate in the decision-making process of the Society through General Body Meetings and other means.
3.3.The Society shall promote cooperation amongst its members by providing a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences, and by organizing educational and training programs.
3.4.The Society shall encourage its employees to participate in cooperative events and activities.
CSR
3.5.The Society shall undertake CSR activities in the areas of education, health, environment, and community development, among others, as per the guidelines of the CSR policy.
3.6.The Society shall allocate a budget for CSR activities based on its financial performance and shall review the budget annually.
3.7.The Society shall undertake CSR activities through its own initiatives or through collaboration with NGOs, government agencies, and other organizations.
3.8.The Society shall ensure that its CSR activities are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and other relevant frameworks.
3.9.The Society shall communicate its CSR initiatives and progress to its members, employees, and stakeholders.
Guidelines for CSR Activities
3.10 Education: The Society shall undertake initiatives to promote education among underprivileged children and youth, including provision of scholarships, school supplies, and educational infrastructure.
3.11 Health: The Society shall undertake initiatives to promote health and wellbeing, including provision of medical facilities, awareness campaigns, and sanitation programs.
3.12 Environment: The Society shall undertake initiatives to promote environmental sustainability, including tree plantation, waste management, and conservation of natural resources.
3.13 Community Development: The Society shall undertake initiatives to promote community development, including provision of livelihood opportunities, skill development, and infrastructure development in underprivileged areas.
Reporting and Monitoring
3.14 The Society shall maintain records of its CSR activities and report on the progress of its initiatives annually in its Annual Report and on its website.
3.15 The Society shall appoint a CSR Committee comprising of senior management and employees to oversee the implementation of CSR initiatives and to monitor progress.
3.16 The Society shall review its CSR policy and initiatives periodically to ensure alignment with its objectives and changing societal needs.
